Dutton House
The board by board restoration is being funded by grants and public donations and will take several years to complete. Project Manager Chad Wiggins, and Superintendant Russell Stam oversee every step, from tracking down historic glass for replacement windows, to personally working on hand carved details and moldings and restoring the beautiful mahogany interior columns and rare, left-hand stairway. Felton’s team will bring the Dutton House back to its original splendor.
PBS sent a television crew to the job site to film a special in March 2007 on the history of Deland Florida, featuring interviews with Chad Wiggins on the history of this marvelous home and the ongoing restoration project.
