The construction industry is today's largest source of waste and pollutants on earth and in the atmosphere. We feel it is up to us, as contractors, to begin the process to slow
down this pollution & bring awareness to architects, subcontractors and clients by offering solutions. We continue to educate ourselves and explore ways
to become increasingly pro-active in the protection of our environment. Construction waste is the largest contributor to already overflowing landfills. We
strive to reduce waste at every project site. Clients frequently remark on the cleanliness of our job sites.
We encourage new clients to consider using higher efficiency heating and cooling systems,
higher levels of insulation, and products made of recycled and renewable resources.
Our clients realize the benefits of greatly reduced energy bills, possible
tax rebates, increased resale advantage and the wonderful feeling of helping
the environment.
The cost of Greener systems and materials included at the beginning of the
mortgage or construction loan process add very little to increase the monthly mortgage payment.
In most cases, monthly energy & water savings far exceed that
increase in the payment. Basic items such as low emission windows, proper
insulation and Energy
Star appliances are already included in each and every proposal from Felton
Construction.
